You missed my point! The attempt for the sale of the large 'block' of stock will be 'tempered' by the desire to get the 'most' for the stock, not the fastest sale.

I would be more concerned about the possibility of a large number of SOTA trades in the 1K range (maximum size) for computer execution being executed at the same time. This, IMHO, would even have a larger impact, but isn't likely to occur.

For instance, if I trade 1K shares the trade takes place in ~10-15 seconds, but if I trade >1K shares, I have had to wait ~5 minutes for the trade to be completed, and sometimes at different prices!
