The attempt for the sale of the large 'block' of stock will be 'tempered' by the desire to get the 'most' for the stock, not the fastest sale. I would be more concerned about the possibility of a large number of SOTA trades in the 1K range (maximum size) for computer execution being executed at the same time. This, IMHO, would even have a larger impact, but isn't likely to occur. For instance, if I trade 1K shares the trade takes place in ~10-15 seconds, but if I trade >1K shares, I have had to wait ~5 minutes for the trade to be completed, and sometimes at different prices!
