Carl, re. SRCM, DJ News is certainly running plenty of stories about the rumors. One might wonder whether there will be a takeover, or whether some clever tout managed to get the news of a rumor started.

Anyway, if they are taken over, the stories go, it's because of the value of the patents they have. Which is something that is hard for us to evaluate when we look at the financial statements etc.

SRCM was never really a broken stock play for me, but rather a hyped up high flier of sorts (a third tier internet play) with what seems to be a pretty poor underlying company.

I was lucky I covered my short position when I did. my decision was more one of rebalancing the short/long ratio of the portfolio rather than anything company specific.
