OT: Jeff, those ERJs are the wave of the future for US airlines. Passengers greatly prefer them to the usual turboprop planes, the Embraer Regional Jets are quiet, and fly about 520 mph. People also have the perception they are safer, which may also be true. Continental plans to use regional jets exclusively in the next five years, and to sell all of the turboprops, due to customer demand.

We have ordered 30 more of the 50 seat ERJ-145 (which you just flew), with options for 150 more, and have also placed an order for at least 50 of the ERJ-135, which hold 37 passengers. These jets are very fuel efficient, and very marketable, so should make the airline money over time. Thanks for flying Continental, sir!
