The press release does not state any charge for Q2, only 0.09 for Q1 for Chips

This is true. I misread it. But, Wall St Journal reporter did mention a Q2 charge whereas the Earnings Announcment did not. Waiting for Conference Call for verification...

Gorak <<So factoring the charge out, eps was actually down sequentially from $1.01 to $0.66>> not sure where you're geting $1.01, as the first quarter release is $.81 w/o associated charges from Q1 to Q2. maybe you're referring to 1997 Q1.
