IOM at 3 bucks?? Now that would be a steal. I see great potential for a turnaround here, tho the shorts will be squealing all the way back over 10.

Compaq is advertising their Presarios with Zip drives included on television. Zip seems to be finally finding its place as the leader in large format storage for consumers...as it is added as standard and as optional equipment by nearly every PC maker. Open a PC Shopper magazine and it is difficult to find the bigger computer systems that DON'T have a ZIP drive included.

As for JAZ, you've got SONY including a pair of 2G JAZ drives in their very expensive [15k] film dubbers as standard equipment. In fact, Sony Pictures bought over 250 dubber units for their own use. The 2G JAZ disk is quickly becoming the standard medium for transferring of film sound from facility to facility. ADSG is SONY'S professional film equipment division that makes these dubbers and selected the 2G JAZ as the recording medium.

Doremi Labs of Europe, has followed Sony's lead by adding a 2G JAZ to their V1m video server. The 2G JAZ disks are fully compatible with the Sony. Soon Akai and Tascam will, no doubt, follow suit by adding 2G JAZ drives to their film dubbers.

Ever think about how many motion pictures will need to be remixed and dubbed to the new DVD standard? No wonder Sony Pictures bought so many dubbers.

As for CLIK, it is just a matter of time before it becomes another standard medium. Who will be first to use it? Xybernaut? Irvine Sensors? Sony in their long awaited "Netman?"

It is easy to be short and negative. To those who shorted from 30 bucks to 5, congratulations. But from here on out, IMO, the downside is slim. It is time for this company to begin its long journey back. No competitor has "destroyed" Iomega's future as many on this thread would have us believe. Though there is competition, the Iomega products are standing the test of time.

I am just waiting for that one perfectly timed exciting press release that will turn the tables on IOM. Just don't let it cloud your mind so much that the rays of light and truth no longer shine through.
