Bizzare price action. If a reaction to the earnings beating by only a penny, why did the selling
wait to start until 1:15pm or so, in a strong and strengthening market?

Strange.


I dont like it one bit! I bet we have bad news coming....the volume is just too big! (9m+) Reminds me of Cendant? Price drop on huge vol...no news!!

Doug,

I've owned HBOC for many years. This type of action after
a strong earnings report is not uncommon.

Some analysts suggest that HBOC will make another acquisition.
The company has grown by making several acquisitions a year as
long as I've held the stock.

Look at a five year stock chart on a log scale.
