Roy Batty sez: If AAPL gets anywhere into the 20's before the Q4 report, I'll be buying like crazy unless some major bad news surfaces. However, we may not see the 20's again and I'll have to be more selective.

Shhhhh.....do you want everybody to know my secret plan!

Patiently waiting,

iMarc

Roy,

There should be no fear about Q3 report. Today's reaction was a
typical less-confidant shakeout and profit-taking activities. It's
clear that Q3's revenue will be way beyond Q2's and Q2 had $0.38
net, then the formula will be much easier to derive.

Intel's quarterly report has let several analysts upgrade its rating.
Tomorrow's Compaq will probably be as good as Intel's, then all tech
stocks will surge like big board did today.

Apple's in the hot seat now. It will make those who sold prior to
the report feel regrettable.

I don't expect there is much swing until the last trading hour
tomorrow. Well, the show time will come to prove Apple's healthier
than expected.

Phil

Hmm, so if we average our estimates of Apple blowing the quarter, we come up with only a 5% chance. :)

<<Only a severe problem with the iMac causing major bad press can stop this.>>

So far, the positive mindshare just keeps building. This week's US News & World Report includes a little blurb on its Personal Tech page, saying, "Apple Computer's surprising resurgence continues. It says more than 175 Mac software titles (even the hot game Unreal) will be ready for its new iMac computer. Listeing to users, Apple added a 56-kbps modem. Vendors are also rushing to supply printers and scanners for the iMac, which hits stores August 15."

At the bottom of the page? A story titled "Win98: trouble for older PCs." Ahh, the comeback continues to build, piece by piece.
