Nothing new came out. He did mention about the accounting irregularities but that was already figured out by the analysts. He talked about margin improvement next quarter and said that 2nd quarter was better than 1st quarter as far as overall business was concerned (go figure). He was very happy with the earnings numbers. I should have kept in mind that Intel earns income by writing options on its stock.
I think long term this is a good company and short term I have no clue. Besides, Intel investors need patience. This is not YAHOO or DELL. As long as profit margins are up, Intel will slowly move up as well. Enough of Intel and I am beginning to get tired of this one after a horrible earnings IMO. Good luck to all. The following web site has some up to the minute info on Intel that you may find interesting:

I am a bit disappointed. A Company like Intel that has virtually all the market share (sells processors to all the major box makers) can not even come up with a decent earnings number (while I was expecting an explosive number). Once again good luck and bye,
Soumen

Re: "Did anyone hear Bryant interview on CNBC, and if so, how did it go?.."

IMO Bryant's CNBC interview stressed one point more than once, 2Q taking everything else away, is always the worse traditionally so they were very happy with the results because they had accomplished everything they set out to and more. And after all the negatives are factored in that made it every more remarkable. I surmise the reason they didn't pre-warn was due to the fact of the one time write-down.
They are truly in control of their future destiny. They handled all the adversity and when it disappears the profits will be that much more abundant. They are leaner and meaner and have more muscle.
