Robert:
Welcome to the WMT threat and SI.
Wal-Mart has not yet announced a split. In fact, their board
met last month when the stock was trading in the mid 50's.
Historically, WMT splits in the 60's and there is much specualation
that this may happen soon. But so far, nothing but rumors.

I will tell you, as a long time WMT investor that regardless of
whether or not they announce a stock split, this is one great
company. They dominate their industry and in my opinion,
their stores are fun to shop in. They are doing well internationally
and their new superstore grocery/general mdse concept is
working well.

Hang in there and best of luck to you.

Chip

Well, I haven't heard about the split yet....but it the stock keeps going up like this, I think the mgmt will probably hold a special meeting to announce a split. Historically WMT had split 2-1 when it reaches this level...Let's hope we all hear some good news soon.

Cheers!!!

Robt,

I haven't heard about a WMT split. However, Home Depot just did a 2:1 on July 3rd.

I am in the commons and LEAPS.

Robt, I am hoping for a split with earnings report sometimes in August. Good luck.
