Re: "It was not long ago when if the big tech companies missed whisper numbers, forget the estimates, they were brought out and slaughtered. The environment on the Street has completely changed according to the state of the tech sector. Now its "ok" to miss estimates, we just want to know what you think about the next couple of quarters."

That's because the projections were overvalued and of course the whispers were even more overvalued. Don't forget Intel's still down quite a bit from those valuations so the price had that factored in already. This past week was a correction of an expected pre-warning sell off hence the $80 price.

"Why all the AMD bashing? We all know AMD sucks, I, the one and only Vinman, was on the AMD thread in February bashing AMD and their business. But who cares how much money they make? They are still in business(for now), and as long as they are they represent competition for INTC."

Have you every seen the kid who wants to be number one in the neighborhood who sucks up to a popular guy by letting him use his brand new bike or buys him lunch or does his homework every night for nothing etc. until the popular guy has him under his will and starts to use and abuse him? Well that is what AMD is to CPQ they are a cheap source of chips. You see competition is when you can compete on your own in all areas with you opponent not when you allow yourself to be used to manipulate prices. Watch what CPQ does to it's buddy when the time gets right.

So, How does Humble Pie taste?

Just curious... and,

don't worry, you'll have your day.

Try ELNK or TDFX ... you might do better than shorting

INTC.
