Re whether buying December 60 calls is a good idea -- I'd say yes, especially if you are convinced that LU will make a move before then or someone else will try to beat them to the punch. As you know, come the fall -- LU will be able to use pooling of interests accounting for the purposes of mergers. Using this method is a big advantage to a company, w/ respect to its taxes and other charges. I own December 60 calls, and think they're a good way to play the near-term story and the anticipation of a LU buyout -- Scott.
