Paul,
RE:" Things have gotten so desperate at Intel
that chip equipment research firm
Infrastructure says the company has started
replacing costly maintenance services it
usually outsources to Applied Materials
(AMAT) and other equipment makers with
its own in-house staff in order to cut costs."

Sounds like Intels paranoia is well intact. They are tightening the belt and preparing for battle.

I'm sorry to bother you PAUL but I *happen* to have heard that Intel(tm) doesn't (mass)produce *any* pentium socket7 .....please explain me why the pentium mmx (tm..) would be a big threat to the AMD-k6 (2)....
Here in Europe those things are seldom, and WHEN you find one, it's a 233 for unreasonable prices....usually a in-a-box, witch can't be overlcocked, so not very atractive for people to buy it.

So tell me again why AMD is going to lose much market share concerning Compaq- (socket 7..)
