Don, "welcome" to the rotten world of E-trade. As you probably know, many of us have the same impression as you do of Etrade - it takes no responsibilities for its failures. In order to avoid further problems with them, I have decided several weeks ago to transfer my accounts to other brokerages. In fact, I have already filled out the transfer form for my IRA account. Hopefully, when Etrade reads your complain on this thread, they will at least try resolve your situation in an effort to keep your business. Good luck!
