Happy to hear Intel losing market share to AMD! I expect a strong opening tomorrow...is anyone else placing market orders tonight? Thanks for your insight in advance....

AHA and intel doesn't do so ????

ICOMP INDEX.......haha....I know why intel doesn't want "customers" to have the testing suite....THey are afraid people will run it on non-intel cpu's, and get high marks on AMD and maybe even a Cyrix..

I don't see the purpose of synthetic benchmarks... Just test AMD and Intel with real life programs, and you will notice the differences.

Intel used to be the best with the newest 3d-gaming titles and 3d-rendering software (although 3dsmax was faster on a amd k6 than on a pentium mxx ), BUT now AMD uses 3d-now tech, (you know, the succesfull beater of MMX) and games run at speeds wich make a pII look cripple...and for a price wich is 30 to 50 % lower than Intel's....

New Freeware and Proffesional software titles are almost all optimized for 3d-now instructions, (Winamp, reduces cpu-usage to a 10th of that with of a pII) etc etc..I find the future (at least in the low and medium end cpu market) of AMD bright enough to go and buy some more AMD stocks.

Statement.

Cyu later..
