MM are the ones that are short themselves, they take a buy order from a brokerage firm of a 1000 shares at .50 they do not have the shares in their control yet,Sell 5000 shares Market Order comes in they take it at 3/8 another Sell comes in for 10,000 shares now he has his short
of a 1000 covered ,two buy Market Orders come in MM sells 1-10,000 and 1-4000 he sells at 5/8 he has made a profit another buy comes in 50,000 shares or what ever # you want ,he sells at 5/8 got no shares
Market order comes for sell he takes it at 7/16 the other MM bidding .40
another bid is 3/8 it goes on and on that is how they work, the saying all month they got there mask on and the last three days of the month
they take them off, that is why you see a lot of big sells going on after the bell because between MM they are balancing the orders. All it takes for two or three MM that can't work with each other greed is the only time you will see fair trading, that is when you know they are trying to screw each other.
