OT--while we're all here, I wonder if anyone would like to give me (here or via e-mail) their thoughts on ADSL vs TCI's cable modem service, from a consumer's standpoint. I don't need to run a web server over the line or anything like that. I just want fast net access and I suppose a good upload too (advantage ADSL, right?) since that might let me save an eighth here and there in my stock trading.

I live in Berkeley and apparently Pac Bell has finally gotten on the ball. Its service is available and is something like $59 plus ISP costs. Meanwhile, I think TCI is about $40 with lower installation costs to boot, but at the moment it is only available in the north bay. So it has to come about ten or fifteen miles south to reach me and who knows when that will happen. But I'm dying for fast access now. Meanwhile, my GVIL x2 gets hellaciously hot after just thirty minutes of use. And my connections then bog down.

On-topic, I find that this stock is following a very predictable script. When will the delisting come, I wonder? Love the comment about a village missing an idiot.
