How about 7/14/98? I think today may have been the print high on the NYSE. It's possible for the other indices to make new highs from here. We'll see if my theory plays out. 7/8 Vix low, coincides with the bottoming of the New Lows. Now we are back over 100 new lows and most indices are in new closing highs. I think today compares with April 3rd, BK in mid August. A Gold stock was the biggest percentage mover on the NYSE today (Meridian) a strange phenomenon on a 'raging' bull day. Is this the 'gold' indicator I've been looking for -ggg- bwdik, bb

Re: Irrational Markets It cracks me up! GM reports an 80% reduction in EPS from last year and the stock goes up! My few little puts are not happy campers. Yet the folks that post want to focus on Dell (I have no position). Gates stated a month or so ago that we currently have about 200M computers on the face of the planet and that he expected that we could hit 1B in 5 years. The internet (don't we know) is doubling every 90 days. But this is all FA stuff! TA says we cannot be here, but we are. I tried to point out the breakout on the S&P on this thread a few weeks ago. Thus far for July, the Index is moving along at an annualized 150% return. Now we have a breakout on the DJIA. Yup, it will end. But, the supreme blow-off has not yet occurred. Look at the webs and you'll see TA breakouts all over the globe. It's going to be Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. BWDIK and all other disclaimers. Berney
