Can you post the number of shares each company holds as opposed to the outstanding? I imagine they can swap shares or issue new shares which would be dilutive but they would be adding Vivus to their assets.

Drick3......you can look at the PE multiple of these three large phar
co's 30-60 and say that if they picked up Vivus at a pe of 20 * 1999
projected earnings of $1.19,,,,$23.80 that would be an good use of their stock in a buyout . Using their stock valuation in exchange for Vivus shares.

JNJ...pe 29.94 stock value $74
MRK pe 35.50 stock value $137
Pfe pe 62.70 stock value $118

Could attract other large phar co's who's stock value is at a high pe multiple .....stock value = currency in a buyout...
