Average Daily Volume

Has anyone noticed that IOM's Daily Average Volume is now is serious jeopardy of falling below 3 Million shares/day?

It seems just yesterday that I warned about this. But I guess it fell upon deaf ears. During the Spring, I warned that IOM's Volume would fall below 4 million/day. Now, it is going to fall below 3 million/day. What does this mean?

It means that interest in this stock is severely waning. And stocks that generate little volume usually get avoided by Institutions. Plus, IOM has about 260+ Million shares outstanding with a 180+ Million share float. This means less than 2% of IOM's float get churned every day. Compare this to YHOO which has a float of just 6.9 million shares and a daily churn of 4.1 million, or 60% EVERY DAY!

Clearly, IOM is going nowhere fast.
