Lou,
We have had a short position before and I don't remember it benefiting the price in anyway. It was sometime back when the transfer agent returned about 500,000 shares that came down from Canada. The seller was able to cover without creating any upward pressure on the stock price. Why would there be an order to sell at no higher than $1.75.

Best Regards

Lou, I was really glad to see the bid/ask tighten up as much as it did today. Hopefully it will make OLIE think twice about shorting if he runs out of a block of shares and isn't really sure if he will be getting more. With a wide spread, it would be profitable for Olie to go short and then try to pick up shares at the bid to cover, I'll bet MM's just hate having to play fair. (G) No doubt that there is something special about the $1.75 ASK. It could be that the seller that gave these shares to the MM to sell just set $1.75 as the low limit on what he would take. The lower a MM can drop a stock the more buyers he will pick up along the way and get the position moved more quickly. We got a little preview today of what will happen when Olie is done, in that when he moved off for about 10 minutes , the other MM's got out of the way and the ASK rose up to $1.81 where Olie was still sitting. (G) Thanks for the input.

James

Hi Hairless,
IMO they do not deserve $1.75. Can't use nasty words right? <g>
