Clint, Re:HBOC - wow, I'd stopped looking at this actively as it was too good a company to short and too expensive to buy - and not a net stock with earnings far out in the future. I wonder how many of these rumors "happen" during expiration week. Regarding uninspiring breakouts, other than the net stocks last month, you're right. The market is slowly getting ready to be whacked again - another couple of week of highs - some time for distribution and then the hammer. I wonder what the next boogeyman is going to be - asia is getting a bit tiresome of an excuse to let off steam - perhaps it will be Clinton this time. Still some sectors are safer than the others. I'll be avoiding the semis and semi-equips till early next year at least. More later, - MJ
