When was it Compaq warned of zeros?
If they had a whole quarter (or good part there of) of favorable currency flux vis a vis a strong dollar, don't be surprised if their earnings are better than expected. Currencies are very powerful determinents of cost of goods sold.

Why? They missed the whisper #. They missed the estimates. Margin down. Q3 flat to slightly higher. Mendocino and Celeron will drive their margin down even more. Competition will get stiffer. Asia is not improving. In a chip price war box makers benefit, chip makers lose.

I think all the PC sectors including INTC will move higher in the next six months.This sector has been held down for so long , and now is the time, money is flowing from Internet stock to the traditional high Tech stock recently !!!!
