Thanks for the comprehensive response. I think we're in agreement on the key trends. However, my view seems to be more skeptical about the timing of when regular folks will be able to take cost effective advantage of the emerging services.

One point on the dry copper cost. You refer to integrators getting prices $22-27. My reference point is CLEC pricing which, I believe, is regulated by both FCC and PUCs. Special termination, conditioning, POP rental space, etc. could add to CLEC cost per loop. I'll try to get deeper info on this.

Frank, checked several sources on dry copper pricing and found, not surprisingly, that you were right. Loops sell for between $20 and $25 to CLECs depending on ILEC.

I was mistaken in my $9 figure, which turns out to be the ILEC's average base cost to supply.

I just wanted to close the 'loop' on that.
