Hello all. I am finally back home in Florida after the bad weather in Houston delayed my flight an hour and a half. After this post I won't be posting till I return from Vegas next Sunday. I wanted to tell all of you about something that happened today. I used to live in Houston and drove by the old neighborhood. I stopped by a house down the street where I used to live to see if an old buddy was still there. Well, his parents were still there, and his father used to be a geologist for Conoco. I told him what I was in town for and mentioned Mountain Energy. I specifically mentioned "Q" (Mr. Moore) and my friend's Dad actually has known him for many years and vouched for him without reservation. As a matter of fact I called Q today and told him we had a mutual friend, then put them both on the line and they talked for about 10 min. It was a nice feeling, although I never had any doubts about Q or any other of the MTEI team. I spent the whole day Monday at the office and kept busy looking over some land books on WV and looking at the 5 counties where ME has an interest. I got to personally meet with Jack, Winston, Richard Hibbard, Earl Irby, and last but not least, the Q man! I can see why Jack is so excited to have Mr. Hibbard aboard, as the work he does with satellite imagery is fascinating. You can tell the man is truly a genious. Very nice and reserved gentleman. Earl Irby is the "Landman" who actually compiles the reports that state what acerage MTEI has. He actually showed me a deed (non-recorded) in which Mark Tow's company was the Grantor and Mountain Energy was the Grantee of approx. 1500 acres of WV properties. This company is for real and they just need more time to get more ducks in a row, IMO. I'm sure I won't even check the stock price while I'm in Vegas this week, that's how compfortable I am with this group of people. I will also vouch for the "team" atmosphere at that office. You don't see folks looking at their watches when its around 5 oclock either! Our meeting lasted utill 7pm sharp. These folks have an abundance of energy and it shows. Well, its 1:34am here in Florida, and I have a plane to catch in 6 hours. Luckily, my bag is already packed;-) BIG OFF TOPIC BELOW********************************************** BTW, if I were you, I would avoid American Airlines at all costs. They seem to think that "the customer is always WRONG." That attitude is pervasive throughout many levels of their company. I won't go into details of what happened with them today, but I will say that the only time I will fly with them is if they have a riduculously cheap fare or their is no other alternative. Their customer service is a joke and most of the employees I was in contact with today seem to think that American Airlines own and operate the only airline in the U.S. Also, to the group in HOuston, I want to apologize for leaving abruptly before dinner. I enjoyed meeting with you all. Wish me luck in Vegas! Steve
