What do you think of the new QM-DI ii. I think it is confirmation of the new laser technology that PRST has designed. Why else would heidelberg come back from CREO's imaging system on the SM-74 to ours. It must be better, faster, cheaper and easier to build. Less calibration because the lasers do not have to be focused. Big change.

Neil... I found the following on Dotprint in the Scitex article on their platesetter.<<The Lotem uses a 24 laser diode array to expose thermal ctp plates sensitised to 830nm on an external drum system. >> This sounds like the PEARL imaging system to me.
