don't forget when CPQ took over Tandem Computers they also got Ungerman-Bass in the deal. Exactly what Ungerman did in the way of networking and how good they were at it is another question, however.

blankmind: As long as CS continues to manufacture in house instead of outsourcing, it may not be a likely take-over candidate.

The headache of downsizing and or integrating these plants with the buyers facilities could be a major obstacle.

What is the outlook regards their fab plants.?
