re: WAVO and IE Compatibility - theory

(I do not speak with insider information or for my employer. This is all assumptions, as qualified below.)

I would think that being included in Win98, rather than having Microsoft as an investor, is a driving factor in WaveTop working so well with IE4 that it may not work well today with other browsers.

1) I assume that the WAVO product is difficult to make, especially in a generic way, so it may depend on certain functions in one browser rather than being completely generic;
2) It is possible that WavoPhore and Microsoft had a development agreement where each would modify their product in order to get both to work together;
3) In order to meet the Win98 schedule, with WavoPhore's limited resources, it makes sense to me that working in Win98 had a priority over working (or even testing) with other browsers;
4) I would expect that the glue between WaveTop and Win98 is IE4. So if WavoPhore wants WaveTop to work on non-Win98 systems, it might help to just redistribute IE4 with their product;
5) As their business grows, they get more money, and have more time, they may round out their product with a more general implementation or an alternate implementation that is less browser-dependent.

Dougles,Ron, Bret and all others: I do want to say before leaving this thread. Sorry if I offended anyone with short selling your stock. It was just sitting there screaming to be SS.
I beleive we ALL are in the stock market to make a profit.
If you think WAVO is going to make you a profit long term, more power to you and wish you the best.
If I think a stock has been OVERLY run up and I see a profit in shorting it, more power to me.

If any of you did not like my postings about why WAVO WA a good short sell, maybe you should not have posted to me. I was answering questions and offering my IMO, just as any of you do.

Once again, sorry if my SS offended and of you. You are all a great group of people with a dream. Long term dreams are ok too. I just like to get my cash a bit quicker then waiting months and years for it.

Peace
