MM,

Definately a good slant from the article, however, since I don't like anal-zits in general, I can't be selective in choosing the ones just because I like and agree with what they say! I would have to look at their 'record' to really see if I thought that they had their 'finger on the pulse' that I was looking at.

The market has had a pretty good run for 9 years now, and as a friend said to me once - 'Even a Turkey can Fly in a Hurricane!' - I keep reminding myself of this as I watch the market overall.

*** OT ***

Along with you, and the other observant members of THIS thread, I continue to look for value in my investments. DELL, for me now, is the 'meeting' place for the 'minds in the know'. (IMHO) Everyone thinks that we are all DELLheads, (and we probably mostly are) but other stocks are mentioned as performing well by 'posters' and I have taken some 'flyers' and made some money based on what I have heard on the DELL thread. I always return to DELL for the continued performance and the companionship of 'considerate' posters.

Occasionally there will be a 'detractor' spewing garbage, or a 'bear' with a view 'from the other side' trying to disrupt our discussions, but in the main the conversations are cordial, even to the 'detractors' and 'bears', as the thread explains the positions of its holders and how long the have been following DELL.

I suppose I enjoy, what I call the 'deep insight', the evaluation of DELL and its performance as opposed to the rest of the industry provided by you, rudedog, Meathead, Chuzz, bachman, Lee - and many others, and the lighthearted 'cheerleading' of Venkie, Kemble, Sig and that group.

OOPS! --- wandering a bit there ---

Yes the market looks pretty good from where I am sitting also. I think that the testing that was performed by the banks and financial houses this past weekend bodes well for the industry. While I am still considering escaping from the market for the Y2K 'roll over', I may reconsider, and carefully select companies that MAY be impervious. I would consider DELL and MSFT to be 2 of these companies.
There are others, I am sure, but I haven't followed them, nor had the exposure to a thread which presents their case as well as the DELL thread! Maybe it is just that I can't read fast enough! It seems that I really only get time to read all of the DELL posts! I have 20-25 bookmarks, but by the time that I get done with DELL, it is way too late to do anything but glance at the other pages! ( I'll come back to 300+ messages to read, and I have to read each one - so I don't miss something important! ) I have been so fortunate on DELL that I suppose the 'money' makes up for the 'experience'!

Regards,

Ken

PS - What other stocks do you like? (heh heh heh - this is where I get my next 'look-ats')
