Hi, John,

You're right about apples and oranges as far as the companies go. I've just noticed that they trade very similarly. Also, the action on newsgroups was very similar. When Iomega was running up, the bulls celebrated the stock like it was the next Microsoft. Also, they were really nasty to all the bears. When it started to drop, the bears spoke up and the bulls were quiet for the most part. When it headed back up again, the bulls were still quiet and the bears still confident. Everyone was surprised that it even headed back up at all. I've found this to be similar in AMZN.

I'm not trying to say we can know exactly how Amazon is going to move by looking at how Iomega did. I'm just saying they have been very similar in price and investor behavior and it will be interesting to see if this continues. Especially since the second peak point for Iomega is very close in percentage terms to the gap-fill point needed for Amazon.
