DownSouth, Just like life, short term is emotional, but when you put the longterm (forward or backward), it looks very logical. What does that tell you about (some) daytraders, as we have seen on this board today, and those who go for long.

I tend to invest long-term. You are right short-term is too emotional and unpredictable. There are many day-traders though that love day-trading. There is also a large number of momentum players that don't give a hoot why something is moving up or down, they just jump in for the ride. I guess whatever works.

Good advice "put your Intel shares in a drawer and forget you have them."

That wise advice came from Paul E, but I agree. ;-)
