Graeme,

Perhaps you should start a thread where short-sellers could confess their sins. This would be the information-age equivalent of confessional.

The SEC would be invited to check in on a regular basis. I believe that short-sellers who openly confess their crimes to the SEC should be forgiven: It's hard to manipulate a stock when you honestly state your position. This could spare us shorties from being sent to hell.
