Perhaps you need to get used to it; my KB is bubble-shafted. Supposed to give it a "whip" effect. As you approach the low point of the downswing it snaps with a whip effect adding some swing speed to the clubhead.

I find I get better results if I really attack it.

People with normally high swingspeeds do not get similar results. "Big Cat" Williams was tested by a friend of mine and his swing speed dropped from somewhere around 145 to 133. Normal people are around 90, with pro golfers perhaps 115 to 130.

Aside from that, I know of no effect on the pattern offhand. I suppose you have a normal length club.

A friend has the tri-metals. Swears by them but also uses the Adams "Tight Lies". I think he has a tri-metal Driver and 5 Wood.

On the putter, I find that a local pro will sometimes order a demo for you to try out if they think you are serious. Might as well try before you drop 160 plus shipping.

EDIT "Big Cat" was tested on a long shafted driver.
