** OT *** Smart. Very smart. ALTR/XLNX just took off together, then a small pullback. Leads me to believe somebody thinks they know something. I think ALTR reports this afternoon. Man, is Tim gonna be mad after I get another 10% this week in the stock contest...

MS upgrade Ascend Communications (ASND) 53 +3 7/16: --UPDATE- Morgan Stanley Dean Witter raises estimates and price target on provider of wide area networking solutions after it posts slightly better-than-expected Q2 results; raises FY98 EPS estimate from $1.18 to $1.20 a share and FY99 EPS from $1.50 to $1.60 a share; also ups its price target on the stock from $55 to $60 a share..... Looks like MS did a lot of hard work on this report...
