When the stock was at about 34-1/4 earlier today, CNBC interviewed some idiot... I mean, some expert... who said that he was lukewarm about Apple, even though things have gone well because it's still unproven if Apple can gain market shares against the dominant Windows platform. That's what pulled the stock down for a while but it is pulling back up. I am wondering if we'll see 35-36 before earnings, by the end of the trading day.

Today's surprise won't be InterenetWorld's "Best of Show"

AAPL is exhibiting there but the award won't be announced until Thurs. 7/16 , assuming of course iMAC is nominated:

" A panel of judges from Internet World (Mecklermedia's weekly newspaper) and other Mecklermedia publications will judge nominations based on the innovative use they've made of technology.

The judges will place priority on a product's ability to work with existing standards and the degree to which it contributes to the development of future Internet products and services.
"

Maybe tomorrow , but I-W 's theme is "partnership" and a alliance could yet be a AAPL announcement with today's earnings .

internetnews.com

IMHO , I'd take my finger off any trigger . Recon is missing the affect of AAPL's lack of options .

Written on underlying stock , large shareholders detect a upswing and have covered by buying/closing AAPL's open options . A 20% cap gains tax rate NOW applies to 1 year holdings and AAPL's year looks good .

Regards,
Jim K.

I'm not sure "what" to make of that RFI report. I have "been" wondering, though, since MW, why SJ wouldn't have "unloaded" any news if he had it. How might "big news" have impacted the stock price if delivered at MW?

Ha ha ha ha! That made me laugh out loud! Not the content, but your formatting. Very funny!

Perhaps we should all "highlight" our "posts" with superfluous quotation marks from now on, so as to "emphasize" what we're trying to "say" here, in the "tradition" of Apple Recon. What do you all "think" about that?
