Ok, how about if you were to take two objects of different proportions and different density/weight as , say, a brick and a package of playing cards and mount the deck of cards on the face of the brick, "somewhere close" to the center .
Now if you attached a handle to the brick and used it as a putter with the cards being the face of the club, the ball wouldn't have to be struck on center of the face and there should be practically no effect on the movement of the ball off target ........ ggggg

Torque is the enemy on an incorrectly hit ball.
It causes the face of the club turn and twist and imparts an incorrect line.

The brick/card putter will negate torque.
Just think, Pat could be the center of attention at the country club in Joisey being the first to use the BRAND NEW IDEA brick putter .... GGGGG
