See Post 9087 -- Datek Order Processing, Systems Analysis?

Systems Analysis **Anyone who actually know how Datek order processing system works, especially for NASDAQ, please post info now, or if you have knowledge of how Datek is different than others **

Bill,
I'm encouraged by your explanation as to why Datek provides such horrible executions. I'm encouraged because I'm trying to understand how their systems work so that I can attempt to predict in advance which orders they are going to screw me on and which they might execute well. To date, Datek has refused to provide any information to its customers (including me) that might shed some light.

Yours is the first one that I've seen!
It would be of great value if you could identify some reference material that supports your understanding. Additionally, do you have any convincing evidence or experience. In other words, how do you know?

If we understand how the system works, then we can selectively restrict our Datek orders (ie, place those orders with another broker) and not be surprised when Datek screws us.

Thanks,
