Shook the tree and some cheap apples fell out at .125 x .14 and now back up we go. .14 x .16. Buy them apples at .125 and sell them at .16 or more. Don't we all wish we could be one of them.

John, unless the above is a typo, your assumption is not valid. In the first case, you would have bought the shares on the ask, not the bid-- which is .14. In the second case you would have sold the shares at the bid, not the ask-- which is .14. When you factor in commission, you come out a loser on the deal. Even worse, I show the spread as .14 x 17.

Of course that's not to say .125 is not a bargain. Just that it's not quite as easy money as you have indicated. (g)
