Joe, today's rally looks very strange to me. Initially it looked like this: around 10 AM S&P 500 and 100 showed red when DOW and daq were solidly up. By noon, most semistocks turned around. Who is buying. 1) short-term traders; 2) can't wait for the upswingers; 3) short squeezers. NYSE NHs are solidly higher (unlike yesterday) by daq lags in NH and AD/dec. What do you see?

I had it happen last year, but I just replaced the drive. It's a pain to reinstall the applications but it's no worse than scraping off all the tar babies that come with new boxes. Take the money you saved and buy some nice puts with it.<G>

Joe, I know the feeling. My IBM 386 never saw the inside of a repair shop. My Compaq Presicko called inCOMPetent USA's service dept. "home." <G> MB
