Ali - Re: "Intel cash position was declined last quarter by $3B." Once again, Ali, you demonstrate for ALL OF US how little you know about business, financial reporting, etc. The PROFIT and LOSS statement is SEPARATE from the BALANCE SHEET ! Perhaps you could read up on such things to better educate yourself. If not, I will be happy to attempt to educate you ! By the way - Intel bought a FULLY FUNCTIONING 8 inch wafer fab from DEC along with the StrongARM product line with $625 MILLION from their cash position. And Intel did that with CASH - they just reached into their wallet and pulled out 625 Million Dollar Bills and handed them over to DEC ! They didn't have to BORROW money from unsuspecting investors or ISSUE new shares to dilute the holdings of existing shareholders. CASH, ALi ! ANd lots of it! Over $7 BILLION LEFT! Look for some "additional" difficult competition for AMD in the weeks and months ahead as Intel ramps up their StrongARM design, production and marketing efforts. Paul
