The analysts influence is only present because the numbers are in the grey area. If and when CPQ posts clearly positive numbers the analysts will jump all over themselves making recommendations. Short term churn means very little to the long term trader. I believe that CPQ will rise over the next several years. That is why I bought it. It is the largest PC mfg, they have tremendous history, the merger with DEC will be accretive to earnings, the holiday buying season is just around the corner and they are the lowest priced (based on PE) of all the box makers.
