>and would buy SAP if it were not so pricey

SAP is going to be listed on the NYSE on Aug 3 and will split 4:1 on that date. It's price is down from its high right now.

I consider SAP to be a good play at this price. Actually, I don't "play". I try to buy the best and biggest companies in growing markets. SAP fills that bill for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software. They are a giant in the software industry.

I cannot concisely spell out my criteria. Unfortunately, it is not scientific. Basically, it is as I said: buy the best, biggest companies in growing markets. I have been in the info tech business most of my life, so I tend to buy tech stocks. I learned the hard way how easy it is to get burned speculating. So my strategy works well (so far) as a "buy and hold"er.

I will look into your interests. I am not familiar with any of them, yet.

Thanks for sharing.

Fortney,

NetApp is closing its 2nd quarter on about July 25 and the stock is taking a little dip these last few days. Are you hearing anything about how the quarter is going? Of course, we won't see the numbers until mid-August.
