Well, it'll be shallow drilling all right, in that area, but isn't the amount of gas you pick up a function of how many feet of hole you have through the formation, at least in part? And the coal formations are stratified, more or less layered in more or less horizontal planes? There are other factors, of course. Actually, what little I know of techniques applies to Alberta and BC, perhaps quite different. But there is coal in and around the gas fields there, too.
