Come on Patrick: All one needs to do is read your Alliance posts to know that there is no indication that you sold Alliance the day before the earnings. A review of the Alliance thread indicates that you were long going into the earnings announcement, and that you were long coming out. Who are you trying to kid?

Patrick,

Yes, Gumport tracks this stock. About 6 weeks ago he was listing his favorite semi stocks and he said something like..."I am getting more comfortable with LSI and CUBE". Then, a few weeks later he did another report listing his favorites and he added CUBE to the list and never mentioned LSI (even though he said the stocks he favors are those focussed on datacomm and consumer digital like dvd and digital cameras). I know he was disappointed with what transpired last October, so it may be that he wants LSI to "show him the money" before he gets out infront of this train again. I have seen no LSI specific reports since his write-up after the last conf call.

Don't you talk with Moonbrother? I think he has access to all of Lehmans reports as they come out (vs one week delay if you get them from their website). Maybe you can ask him if he has seen one recently.

FWIW, I believe all the public data that is available on LSI indicates the next move will be up. However, given LSI's track record for negative surprises and the extremely poor trading pattern I am starting to get concerned that something is happening behind the scenes that we are not aware of. Maybe that is why they have not been promoting the stock. On the otherhand, if some negative news were imminent it certainly seems like they would have learned from their mistakes of last year that getting that information out earlier in the process is imperative. If they are holding back again, we are all doomed!
