But for me, the most persuasive argument that it is not a scam comes from the heavy backing from Kleiner-Perkins. KPBC's biggest flop was Go (pen-based computing). But they have had very few embarassments, and many successes: AMER, CPQ, SUNW, RMBS, ATHM, XCIT, INTU, TDM, SYMN, ASND, CY--to name a few in the computing industry. They are widely regarded as being the most successful venture capital firm in the world. It just gives AMZN a stamp of legitimacy, for me. Tom, I would not argue with this.
