Matthew, that's what I said when I originally bought Dell at $10 and sold at $13 1/2, only having to buy back at consecutively higher prices

Don't worry about it. You'll get a chance at buying it back at 103-105 in mid-1999 (post-split).......or you can change your mind and buy it right back tomorrow at 112 (pre-split).

Re: sold your Dell. I sold Amazon at 93 recently, having purchased it about three days earlier at 76. I was quite pleased with myself at my gain, until it rocketed to 140 within the next week.

Let your profits run. If you want to get out of a fast mover, IMHO the best way is to place a stop loss order, and raise it as the stock moves higher.
