Re: Apple
Actually, Apple is selling fewer computers. Apple revenue fell 19% while earnings went up. They have cut costs or increased margins or, more likely, both.

apple reported $.50, expectations were $.33. someone is buying PCs at
Dell and, for whatever reason, at Apple. only Apple buyers know why.

At MacChat <http://www.macchat.com>, there's a post <http://www.macchat.com/cgi-bin/config.pl?read=77> on the message board with a good summary of Apple's conference call. There's also a post <http://www.macchat.com/cgi-bin/config.pl?read=78> which compares Apple's p/e (now that they have one) to Compaq's, Dell's and Gateway's.gml
