I thought that since AAPL traded under $29.205 on June 26th they wouldn't have to include those but I guess they did since we did trade above that briefly in May.

Ahhh!!! It has nothing to do with the price of the stock!!!

Eric there may be more to the dilution

Appears AAPL is accounting for all the Proxy items plus the Notes .

Seems to be unusual unless there are disclosures coming which may be associated with the dilution .

The news of MOT going PC/NT is also strange .

Maybe the Notes changed hands and the CEO stock awards were registered . Wonder if there is a "white knight" on the horizon ?

Good call to you , Phil and Marc etc. on the earnings considering you started your estimates 3 months ago !

Regards,
Jim K.

It looks like the 171.8 million shares diluted must be a typo
of some sort on Apple's press release. As 10K in the aapltalk
room pointed out today, using that number with the given basic
and full profits doesn't yield the same eps as Apple is reporting.
Apparently, using $101 million and .65 eps, the number used to
calculate diluted eps is about 155 million shares. Sorry for the
error on that and thanks to 10K for pointing that out.
