The risk/reward for buying YHOO or AMZN and most other inet stocks just doesn't make sense now that the picture has brightened for other tech sectors. Why risk money on stocks (unless you're shorting them) that have a 20% chance of moving up on any sustained basis and an 80% probability of moving down between now and the end of the year? Other beaten down tech sectors look much more likely to move up nicely from here. Several companies that are expecting annual growth of 25% to 35% are now trading at cheap multiples compared to the slower growth average stock, 10-20 P/Es. With the correction in earnings due to inventory and Asian adjustments now pretty well behind and the outlook improving going forward, money should be shifting to other sectors and away from the Amazonianut.com momentum plays. IMO.
