A year or so I would have been more excieted about insider selling.
Have you ever watched the business news on a day when people file to sell shares? With stock prices where they are a whole lot of people sell shares. I do think that one should watch for a significant reduction in ownership of the firm. If a person sells a very large % of their holdings then it can be a problem. If a number of people in the firm do that then something is amiss. I recently read where major Ktel insiders sold. Me too. I would be selling with both hands and promptly retiring. Back to BB stocks some of these CEO's especially in the bio techs don't have a salary. Every now and then they starve and sell enough shares to exist.
Then people like us bug the guy and he has to say I am so broke that I am hungry, it has nothing to do with my lack of faith in the company.
I also see lots of insiders selling a small percentage of their holdings with some frequency. We forget that they are people too, kids in college, sick spouse, etc. So in summary, if the sale looks like an attempt to run before it hits the fan I care , if not I don't. A $64,000 planned sale does not alarm me. I would file too just in case the stock skyrocketed for unknown reasons.
