Wow, that goes back a LONG time, doesn't it?

I did not want to say this on the IFMX thread, but ever since the last earnings report and the second earnings restatement and the selling by their financier through the convertible preferred, short term and longer term, Informix IMO has a small chance in succeeding. Since I have the stock now and I have held through its lows, I am taking advantage of the volatility to write CCs. But I am ready to sell my position, and I am seriously thinking of doing so before this upcoming earnings report which IMO is a big gamble

If Informix is fortunate enough to survive near term, then it may be able to turn around after the company manages to procure debt capital. I do think Bob F the CEO is a smart businessman and I do believe he is doing everything he can to facilitate a turnaround of this company. But I believe a turnaround effort takes a rare and special kind of business manager to pull off due to the conflicting requirements of the turnaround effort and I do not think Bob F is this person. He is treating IFMX from his area of familiarity which is managing a business during a difficult time through a downturn in business, which IMO is very different than managing a turnaround.

There are better "fish to fry" in this market despite the losses I will be taking on the stock. At least I will then have much more better prospects in recouping my losses and moving on.
